Looking to make new friends in your community and share about your culture ? By joining a local Welcome Dinner you can travel the world without leaving your suburb.

The Welcome Dinner Project seeks to connect newly arrived people with established Australians in one of the easiest and most delicious ways - through a shared meal. The dinners are free, all you need to do is bring a plate of food to share. An activity stall at a multicultural event at the Moonah Taste of the World Festival, Hobart, Tasmania. There will be a small marquee with activities for children and adults celebrating diversity and promoting mutual respect. There will be music and food at the festival. There will be other entertainments, speakers and media present.

As part of Harmony Week celebrations, Dorset’s Shimmania Fusion Dancers will be performing at the Mechanics’ Institute Hall in Scottsdale! Come along to see some great dancing inspired by cultures from around the world (and stay afterwards to enjoy a FREE afternoon tea to celebrate Neighbour Day)!
